Hand screen printed in BLUE and BLACK, white ring-spun cotton t-shirt

This shirt uses typography and graphics compiled from the late seventies fanzine, BEAT IT! which I published in New York with Rick Brown in the late seventies - and lists the 4 bands most heavily associated with this genre, although it has been suggested that BLINDING HEADACHE should also be included....more on that later! As this item is hand-printed, please expect some variations in the density of the ink and the placement of each element of the design. Your shirt may have ink that is thin, spreads, overprints sleeve or overprints screen - maybe even a thumbprint! These imperfections are because I hand-printed each of these shirts myself. SOMETIMES, there will be different number of circles and ink dots because I covered up messy spots! This is a labor intensive print job, three screens, 4 impressions, lots of ink! BLUE ink is kinda thick and should soften up with washing… I think it adds to the DIY appeal of this shirt! The tag is pinned onto the inside back collar with two visible black safety pins, which can be removed if you so desire.
